Happy Friday, everyone! On Wednesday we had a ‘lil throwback to a piece written by the talented Mike Sula, originally published on Dill Magazine’s weekly newsletter back in 2021. (If you missed that, you can check it out here). We learned about Kimski’s own Won Kim and his mother, Sun Hee, who first arrived in Chicago from Seoul in the early 80s. Despite her efforts to make Korean food for her children, they clamored for things like hoagies, pizza, and roast beef sandwiches. Her compromise?
